This is very informative and objective. It is clear the author has no ax to grind, no ideology to impose, but only seeks to clear the air of many of the deliberate lies surrounding this great queen. I am impressed by Walsh's dispassionate and objective scholarship.

This Edited Version is Better, esp. with Jones' Chapter Included
This doesn't have the active content like the other version here, but I like the portrait of Isabella and the way it's put together. It's also without all the extra, and I believe, unnecessary negative comments against the Jews. Walsh is an objective and scholarly historian. He doesn't need mudslingers to help him get his point across.
Walsh presents abundant evidence to discredit Lea and other biased historians of the Inquisition.

A Great Queen, A Holy Woman, and Unjustly Maligned by the "Masters of Discourse"
Many love her. Many hate her. But it's hard not to say she was one of the greatest political figures of all time. She would have been canonized a saint by now if it weren't for the powerful Jewish lobby which thinks she epitomizes the worst kind of "anti-Semitism" possible, right up there close to Hitler. But they are wrong. She did what had to be done. Just read these selections, or even better, read the whole book, a great classic on the subject, available at tanbooks.com
